THE INTUITION GUIDE

In 1978, Cheryl Bradshaw decided to try her luck on the popular gameshow, The Dating Game. At the end of the game, Cheryl chose Rodney Alcala as the lucky bachelor with whom she would share the date prize. However, she ultimately declined to go on the awarded date, later explaining that after meeting Alcala in person, something about him made her extremely uncomfortable.

However, this turned out to be a fortuitous decision on her part since, unbeknownst to anyone, Alcala was a serial killer who was arrested the following year and convicted of eight murders across multiple states, though he was suspected of being involved in many more. And had she chosen to go on that date with Alcala, to invite him into her personal life, there is a very real and very terrifying possibility that Cheryl Bradshaw could have ultimately been included among those numbers.

When things like this happen, when we unknowingly sidestep danger based on a ‘hunch’ or a ‘gut feeling’, people attribute it to our intuition warning us that something is amiss.
But what we call ‘following our gut’ in situations like these is actually an unconscious response to friction in the energetic field – a distortion in the vibrational frequency which signals to us that something doesn’t feel right with this person, or something seems off with that plan.

Oftentimes, we have no logical basis for this feeling, yet we find it impossible to shake because it triggers something in our subconscious and sends our nervous system into fight or flight mode.

And I know what you’re asking yourself: How does this relate to manifesting my desires?

Let’s say you’re manifesting being the first multi-millionaire in your family. You want the big house and the fancy cars, the whole shebang. You’ve surrendered control, and you have no idea how these millions of dollars are going to find their way into your bank account, whether you’ll earn big bucks as a social media sensation or get lucky and pick the winning numbers in the lottery.

But how much do you know about wealth building? How do you plan to manage this money when it arrives in your bank account? Have you studied up on money management, investing, tax write-offs, and all the other ways the wealthy protect their assets, or do you plan to simply spend the money you got and hope that the bank’s less-than-generous two percent interest will ensure that you never have to work another day in your life?

The manifestation guru you follow on social media will tell you that your desire is being blocked by the universe and/or your ancestors and/or your spirit team and angels in order to protect you, because it/he/she/they know(s) that you’re not yet ready to receive this blessing.

But if the universe is only responding to your vibrational output, then YOU are the one blocking your blessing because YOU are the one who knows that you’re not yet ready to receive it.

Your conscious mind may be chanting affirmations and journaling and cosplaying the abundant version of yourself, but your subconscious knows there is something off, and your intuition is working behind the scenes trying to guide you toward the distortion in your vibration.

Here’s the thing: No matter how hard we try, the conscious mind cannot out-think the unconscious. So, no matter how loudly or how many times you tell yourself that ‘it is done’, that you’re already a multi-millionaire, the subconscious registers that something about holding all that money feels like a threat, and it will always override the affirmations of the conscious mind by keeping you stagnant in order to keep you ‘safe’.

The solution is simple: Be honest with yourself.

If your manifestation is blocked, it means there is some buried issue you have not yet dealt with.

For instance, if you’re manifesting true love, but find that you only attract narcissists who make you feel unworthy, it’s because the universe is simply mirroring the way in which you view yourself.
If you believe that you are in some way inferior to a potential partner – whether it’s that you make less money or have less education or aren’t as conventionally good-looking, then the universe is going to mirror that belief by aligning you with someone who also thinks that way.

So, you need to be honest with yourself about your relationship with whatever it is you’re trying to manifest, whether it’s money, love, or inner peace. You need to sit in the silence of your conscious mind and listen to the voice of your subconscious, to find that buried issue that your intuition is guiding you toward by admitting to all the anxieties you feel about receiving your blessing.

The key is learning to decode those anxieties, to recognize which ones arise as a result of past traumas or internalized fears, and which ones point to a real issue which needs to be addressed.

As an example: If you’re trying to manifest a peaceful life but find that your world is still consistently fraught with drama and trauma-inducing mishaps, it’s likely that you have internalized beliefs about what life should look like. You may have grown up watching your parents and grandparents struggle to make ends meet, and subconsciously developed the belief from an early age that you have to grind and hustle in order to succeed in life. And now that you’re older and trying to manifest that ‘peaceful life’, your subconscious reads ‘peaceful’ as a lack of success, aka ‘failure’, and thus a threat.

So, your homework for the next two weeks is to listen to your inner voice, to what your intuition is trying to tell you about your manifestation.
Find the ‘ick factor’ that makes you turn down the date with the guy who seemed like a catch on paper- the uncomfortable sensation that arises when you picture yourself holding that blessing you’re trying to call in, and you’ll have found the block that is delaying your manifestation.
