FIELD OF DREAMS

What if the only thing limiting your potential is your ability to dream big?

If someone offered to give you a house right now – any house in the world that you wanted – what would you choose? Would you ask for a nice split-level with a two-car garage in a quiet suburban neighborhood, or would you boot the royal family out of Buckingham Palace?

Believe it or not, most people would choose the former, not because they don’t like the idea of living in a royal palace and having a staff of trained professionals to cater to their needs, but because deep down they don’t believe they’re worthy of living in that palace.

For the vast majority of us, our upbringing was centered around the fact that you have to work hard and struggle or hussle in order to achieve whatever you want out of life, and that suburban split-level is ingrained into our minds as the end goal. So, to ask for anything more would simply be greedy.
Wouldn’t it?

The truth is, our dreams are only capped by what has been programmed into our subconscious – the limitations that have been imposed on us by others, the skewed sense of morality that has been wired into our brains from an early age, and the inherited inability to see beyond the 3D that currently exists in front of our eyes.

We’ve been taught from an early age that asking for too much is being greedy, that dreaming too big is being delusional, and that our present circumstances limit our ability to achieve certain things.
So, say for instance you were born into a poor family in a small Caribbean island, that means there’s no possible way that you could become the billionaire owner of both a makeup and lingerie empire, and no way that you could possibly headline the halftime show at one of the biggest sporting events in the world, especially if you haven’t released new music in almost a decade.
The mere idea is ludicrous.
Absolute insanity!

Or is it?

Ask yourself this:
Did Michael Jackson become the King of Pop by settling for being a part of The Jackson Five, or did he envision something bigger for himself and then put in the work to achieve it? And would he still be considered the undisputed King of Pop to this day, almost two decades after he left us, if he hadn’t had the cojones grandes to believe that he could be more than the lead singer of The Jackson Five?

Stop dreaming small.

Stop shrinking your dreams to fit the package that other people consider ‘enough’.

Stop asking for a PB&J when what you really want is caviar on a crostini.

At the risk of sounding harsh, you’re deluding yourself if you think that imposing manufactured morality on your dreams is going to convince the universe to grant them.
If morality and greed held any sway over the ability to attract wealth or power, then drug kingpins wouldn’t live in lavish palaces and dictators wouldn’t rule entire countries.

The universe doesn’t respond to ‘good’ or ‘bad’, and it doesn’t know if you’re being selfish or selfless. It only responds to the vibrational frequency you emit.
So, if you’re giving off ‘I only want a little bit because I’m afraid to ask for too much’, then guess what … You’re only going to get a little bit.
But when you change your frequency, when you say ‘I want the entire world because I deserve it’, then the universe has no choice but to grant that wish.

Of course, caviar on a crostini can be different things to different people.
Not everyone’s dream is to be in the spotlight as a celebrity, or run a billion-dollar empire.
For some of us, caviar on a crostini IS that split-level suburban.

But, whatever your dream is, don’t ever let anyone tell you that it’s too big, or too greedy, or that it’s impossible because of your present circumstances.

Dream the dream, and let the universe take care of the Where and the When and the How.
